Risks
Max Extractors is a game played with NFTs on Robinhood Chain. It is built to be unforgiving, and some of what can go wrong cannot be fixed by anyone, including us. Read this page before you pay for, buy, send or Scavenge an extractor.
"We" and "the Studio" mean Analong Studios, which runs https://maxextractors.io. An "extractor" is one Max Extractors NFT (a "Token" in the Terms of Use). "The contract" means the Max Extractors smart contract at 0x2428466B6b52f4a56f1ee7Eacc635c781B53f063 on Robinhood Chain.
1. An unpaid extractor dies and is gone for good
Each extractor costs 0.0000444 ETH per day, paid in whole days. If your extractor's paid days run out at a daily boundary, it dies at that boundary. No transaction is needed, there is no grace period, and the chain gives no warning. An extractor shown as "paid through" a date dies at the boundary on that date, not at midnight.
A dead extractor can't be paid for, sent or sold, and it is then burned (destroyed). Nobody can bring it back, add days to it, or refund what was paid for it: not you, and not us. The contract gives us no power to rescue an extractor.
Anyone can pay for any extractor, so someone else may pay for yours. That is a gift, not a promise.
2. The boundary is 20:44 UTC, and the chain's clock decides
The boundary is 20:44:00 UTC every day. In New York that is 4:44 PM during daylight saving time and 3:44 PM during standard time (for example, every day from 1 November 2026 through 13 March 2027).
What counts is the timestamp of the block on the chain, not the site's countdown or your device's clock. If your extractor's days run out at a boundary, your payment must be in a block stamped at or before that boundary. If it lands in a later block, your extractor has already died. The payment is refused, and you may still pay gas for it. If the site, or anything we post, gives a different time (for example "4:44 PM ET" during standard time), the chain's 20:44 UTC boundary still counts.
3. The site can be wrong, slow or down
The site's countdowns, statuses and receipts come from our own indexer, which reads the chain. It can lag, be wrong, or stop. The contract is the source of truth.
So pay early. Keep several days paid ahead, and never leave a payment to the last minutes. If the site is down, the contract still works: anyone can pay through other tools that call it directly, under the same rules. On a block explorer, that means the contract's deposit function, with the token id, the number of days and exactly 0.0000444 ETH per day; an amount off by even one wei is refused.
4. The chain, your wallet or the network can fail
Robinhood Chain is run by others. Near the boundary it may be congested, gas may rise, your wallet or connection may fail, or a transaction may sit pending until it is too late.
The chain's operators control which transactions go into blocks and in what order, and they set block timestamps, which may not match real time to the second. The chain can also stop producing blocks for a while. If that happens around a boundary, no payment can get in, and the chain may restart with timestamps already past the boundary: every extractor whose paid days ended at that boundary is then dead, even though no one could pay in time, and nobody, including us, can undo that. A transaction your wallet shows as sent, or even confirmed, can still be dropped. Keeping several days paid ahead is the best protection.
If you pay for several extractors in one transaction and any one of them has already died, the whole transaction is refused.
Max Extractors is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Robinhood Markets, Inc. or its affiliates, OpenSea, or any wallet provider.
5. Fees are never refunded
The contract has no refund function, and we don't give refunds: not if your extractor later dies, not if you sell or send it, not if the site showed something wrong, and not if the game ends while you still have paid days left. Gas goes to the network, not to us, and is spent even when a transaction fails.
The fees are the Studio's income. None of it is set aside for players.
6. The endgame may take a long time, or never come
The game ends when the machine stops: on the burn that brings the number of unburned extractors down to 444. At that moment every extractor that is not dead becomes Immortal and never owes a fee again. But:
- It happens only when someone makes that burn transaction. Anyone can. We run a bot that burns dead extractors, usually within minutes of a boundary, but we don't promise when, or that it will.
- Until that burn is made, the game is still running: your extractor still needs paid days, even if 444 or fewer are standing and whatever the site says. If its days run out first, it dies and does not become Immortal.
- Extractors that have died but aren't burned yet still count toward the 444, and they stay dead. So fewer than 444 may become Immortal.
- If more than 444 extractors keep being paid for, the endgame never comes.
- The site shows a projection of coming deaths and of the day the machine may stop. It assumes no one else pays for anything, so if people keep paying, the real day will be later, or may never come. It is an estimate, not a promise.
7. There is no prize
Surviving wins no money. There is no prize pool, payout or reward, and no random draw: an extractor lives or dies only by whether it is paid for in time. An Immortal extractor simply never has to be paid for again.
8. Your extractor may be worth nothing
The extractors were given away free. Paying for days keeps an extractor alive; it doesn't give it value. An extractor may be worth nothing and may be hard or impossible to sell. Marketplaces such as OpenSea are run by others and may show an out-of-date status or art. A dead extractor can't be sold. If you buy one, check its paid days first: it can die soon after you buy it.
9. The art and traits live on our servers and can change
The art, traits and metadata are not stored on the chain. We host them, and we can change what we serve and where the contract points. We have done so once: on 20 September 2026 every image was replaced and the pattern trait values were renamed. We may do it again. If our servers stop, the art and metadata may stop loading. If the key that controls the contract, or our domain, is ever lost or stolen, the art and metadata could stop loading or be replaced with anything, including offensive content, and whoever took the key could take the fees the contract holds. They still could not change the rules, anyone's paid days or who holds an extractor.
Traits and rarity also change as extractors die and holders Scavenge. Rarity, leaderboards, "closest calls" and the ledger are for information only. Your chosen look and Scavenge trades are recorded by us, not on the chain, and we could change or end those features.
Your right to use your extractor's art commercially lasts only while you hold it and it stands, and only for the art it wears at the time. If it dies, you send it, it Scavenges, or we change its art, your right to that art ends (see Section 15 of the Terms of Use).
10. Scavenge and sends can't be undone
A Scavenge trade is final, and we won't reverse it on request: your extractor takes the dead one's art and traits, and its old art goes to the grave, where another extractor may take it. Your extractor keeps the new art until it Scavenges again or we change the art (see Section 9 above). It is one trade per extractor per day, first come, first served, in the 4 hours after each boundary.
A send (transfer) can't be undone. The site checks that an address is well formed but can't know who controls it. Send to the wrong address and the extractor is gone; if nobody pays for it there, it dies.
11. Smart contracts and wallets have risks
The contract could have bugs we don't know about, and nobody can change its code. If you lose your keys or seed phrase, you lose your extractors for good.
Scammers copy sites and post fake links. We never ask for your seed phrase or private key; anyone who does is not us. The signatures the site asks for (to choose a look or to Scavenge) are plain text and don't move an extractor or spend ETH. Read what your wallet shows before you confirm anything.
12. Laws and taxes are uncertain
Laws on crypto-assets and NFTs differ by place and keep changing; a change could stop you from playing or selling. You must be 18 or older and an adult where you live. You may not play where it is prohibited, or if sanctions bar you (see Section 4 of the Terms of Use). Taxes on receiving, paying for or selling an extractor are yours to work out. We don't give legal, tax or financial advice.
13. This is a game, not an investment
Only spend what you can afford to lose entirely. We don't promise value, profit, a market, or that we will keep running the site. Don't buy or pay for an extractor expecting to make money.
